ChoirOur Choir is made up of 6th - 8th grade students. There is no musical experience necessary to join Choir. In Choir, we learn basics of Music Theory and Sight Singing as well as how to sing with good tone and how to breathe properly to support our sound. Students in Choir perform at our Winter and Spring shows as well as a variety of school functions. |
Beginning BandBeginning Band is open to all 6th - 8th grade students. Students are taught the basics of Music Theory and how to perform (and take care) of a Musical Instrument. Instruments offered are the Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba and Percussion.
Students DO NOT need any musical experience to be a part of this Band. Students perform twice a year at our Winter and Spring Concerts. Beginning Band students are taught the fundamentals so that they are successful in Concert and Jazz Band. |
Concert BandConcert Band is made up of students who have at least one year of experience on their instruments. Students in Concert Band play a variety of music from Contemporary Selections to Movie Themes while expanding their understanding of Music Theory.
Concert Band students perform at the Winter and Spring Concert but also perform at the annual FBA Music Performance Assessment in addition to performing at competitions. Students in this ensemble also perform at the District Solo and Ensemble Festival. |
Jazz BandJazz Band consists of students who have at least one year of experience on their instruments. Entry to our Jazz Band is by Audition Only. Students in this ensemble play the most variety of music. Jazz Band performs everything from Big Band Swing to Latin Jazz to Funk and everything in between.
